About Sunshine Art House
Sunshine Art House began in 2021. Crystal the teacher and founder had been teaching art and sewing in schools and after school programs since 2005. When the pandemic began many of the programs she worked with were shut down, and Crystal began looking for a way to begin her own program. After teaching virtually for a year Crystal was contacted by Elia, who ran a nearby kids sewing and art studio called Creative Canopy.
Creative Canopy had served the community for 9 years as a place for creativity and community. Elia wanted to find someone to carry on that legacy and she had heard wonderful reviews from Crystal's students and families. It was meant to be! An art studio looking for a new leader, and an art teacher looking for a new art studio space. And so Sunshine Art House was born, continuing the tradition of using 4338 California Street as a hub of community, joy and art! About Crystal Crystal Hermann graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design through a joint degree program at USF and California College of the Arts.
